Andrew Miller is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the United States Naval Academy. His research explores the intersection of politics, policing, and organized crime. Previously, he was an assistant director and research associate at the Council on Foreign Relations. He has field experience in Iraq, Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone, among elsewhere. His work has been funded by the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice, Notre Dame’s Global Religion Research Initiative, the Templeton Foundation, the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), and other sources.

Andrew holds a PhD in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a member of the Security Studies Program.
